How It Rides

The Alpine V1 Directional profile is purpose-built for freeride performance. Mid-body camber delivers pop and stability on hardpack, a flat tail extends power through the back foot for larger riders and aggressive charging, and a reverse cambered nose increases float and landing power in deep snow. The camber runs longer in the tail than a standard directional profile — giving you extra drive on traverses, skin tracks, or any time you need to generate power from the back foot.

Thermopolymer Starship Core™ — Capita uses an advanced electronic sorting system to select reforestation-certified Poplar graded by weight and grain consistency — only the best makes the cut. That premium Poplar core is then bonded with post-consumer recycled Thermopolymer channels to create a hybrid core that matches Paulownia in strength-to-weight ratio while retaining Poplar's signature pop and liveliness. One of the most technically advanced cores in snowboarding.

Pure Megacarbon™ — Full carbon construction wrapped around the Starship Core for a layup that is as light and stiff as it gets. Maximum power transmission, zero wasted energy.

Megadrive™ XT Base — A pure race base composed of UHMW polyethylene modified with high carbon content and specialized fluoro additives for lightspeed gliding across a wide range of conditions. Increased XT thickness adds durability without compromising speed. This is as fast as base technology gets.

Megadrive™ Inlaid Alloy Skid Plates — Reinforced skid plates inlaid directly into the base for added durability and protection in the areas that take the most abuse.

Moonshot Omni-Tune™ — A factory-direct aftermarket race-base stone grind that wicks water from the base at a 45-degree angle for maximum glide speed in any condition. It comes race-ready out of the box — faster than anything else on the lift line.
